Cirrus Intro Flight - Van Nuys

When I went to visit my sister in Los Angeles, CA.  Obviously I had to take the opportunity to do some flying in Southern Calfornia. In addition, my sister would finally get to do her introductory flight that I "bought" for her last Christmas.  I looked online for some good offers on an introductory flight and a good airport to use.  This obviously meant Van Nuys (KVNY).  I found Mach One Aviation online and called them up.  They were super nice on the phone and found a time that I could fly with them.  They operate 3 Cirrus', an SR22 and two SR20s.  This would be really great because I've never flown a Cirrus or in LA.  And at the set price of $99 pretty much all over the country, it is worth it to try and find the neatest airplane.

We met with Jason at Mach One Aviation and he took my sister up for her flight first.  She landed and taxied back.  Her smile was ear to ear.  I gave her a high five and hopped in.  Jason did the preflight briefing, we started up and called for taxi clearance.  It took some time for me to get used to the castering nose wheel, but I figured it out.

Now, I did something a little bit different for this post.  I narrated the GPS tracks and uploaded it as a youtube video.  You can view that here.  After that, a bunch of photos!
